Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You'll learn on the job getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an apprentice to work at Opal Envelopes Ltd and train in the use of:

 

• Machine setting


• Machine feeding


• Periodic quality inspection


• Setting up the line for production


• Workplace organisation

 

The production team work with the aim to eliminate faults/errors and improve:

 

• Quality


• Reduce changeover time


• Reduce scrap


• Clean down work area

Training

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You'll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Training Schedule

• Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard


• The successful candidate must attend PTP's Walsall Centre bi-weekly/monthly. (Essex Terract, Intown, Walsall, WS1 1SQ)

 

More training information

• Due to limited public transport options, holding a valid driving license is preferred


• Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a two-week work experience placement to ensure the role is a good fit for both the candidate and the employer

 

Requirements 

Desirable Qualifications

GCSE in:

• English (grade 4 and above)


• Maths (grade 4 and above)
