Summary


We are looking for an Apprentice to learn general engineering skills to become a qualified Engineering Operative. This person must have attention to detail, be enthusiastic, committed, and passionate about a career in Engineering. Good level of maths, able to read and write clearly. The candidate must be versatile to cover all aspects of production

Work


Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.



What you'll do at work


Duties will include:

  • Automatic Saw Work

  • Colour Coding/Measuring/Weighing Out/Counting Out

  • Computer Work

  • General Machine Setting & Loading

  • Fork Lift Truck Driving If/When Old Enough For Licence

  • Driving If/When Old Enough For Company Van

  • Marking Of Materials/Components

  • First Off Inspection/Buddy Check Inspections

  • Use Of Verniers/Micrometres/Shadow Graphs/Gauges
