Summary

A great opportunity has come up for the successful candidate to join our friendly team at Pickering House. As an apprentice dental nurse, you will assist the dentist and undergo full training. This training will help you develop the skills needed to progress in your role, with the potential for a full-time role once qualified.

 

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

Duties will include:

• Assisting the dentist chairside


• Updating client records


• Cleaning and decontamination of tools and surgery


• Reception duties


• General admin duties

Training

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Training schedule

Dental Nurse (GDC 2023) Level 3.

Mixture of online and face to face learning. May be occasionally required to attend our Walsall Centre at Essex Terrace, Intown, Walsall, WS1 1SQ. Travel to and from workplace. Long hours. Annual leave of 4 weeks plus bank holidays.

Desirable qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

• Maths (grade 4)


• English (grade 4)
