On 20 November 2025, the prestigious Black Country Apprenticeship Awards took place at the Copthorne Hotel, bringing together apprentices, employers, and training providers to celebrate achievement and dedication across the region. As a proud sponsor of the event, PTP Training was delighted to see both our apprentices and employer partners recognised for their hard work.
We were honoured to have six apprentices shortlisted as finalists in several categories: Aimee Archer, Anthony Clayton, Anthony Clayton, Chloe Whittingham, Harry Brown and Leighton Roberts. Each of them demonstrated the determination and excellence that apprenticeships help to develop, and we could not be prouder of their achievements.
Alongside them, two of our valued employer partners, Maple Tree Nursery and Rhymes Day Nursery Dudley, were also recognised as finalists in the SME Employer of the Year category. Their commitment to supporting apprenticeships and creating nurturing environments for young talent is truly commendable.
The evening brought moments of great ride for PTP, with Harry Brown being named Intermediate Apprentice of the Year, a remarkable achievement that reflects his dedication and hard work. In addition, Anthony Nicholls and Leighton Roberts were both Highly Commended in the Engineering/Manufacturing Apprentice of the Year category, a testament to their skill and perseverance in a highly competitive field.
For PTP, the awards were more than a ceremony; they were a celebration of the journeys our apprentices and employers have taken. Seeing their efforts recognised on such a stage filled us with immense pride and reinforced the importance of apprenticeships in building the future of the Black Country.
