Recently, Performance Through People proudly hosted a celebration event in Walsall to honour 11 exceptional learners who completed the Path 2 Apprenticeships (P2A) programme, funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). The event brought together employers, educators, and community partners to recognise the achievements of these individuals and the collaborative efforts that made their journeys possible.

Attendees included representatives from Marcegaglia UK, Asra Limited, and Joseph Leckie Academy—organisations that have gone on to employ apprentices from the P2A programme. Their continued support highlights the value of local partnerships in creating real opportunities for young people.

Also in attendance were colleagues from WMCA, Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and Shaw Trust.

The event was graced by the Mayor of Walsall, Councillor Louise Harrison, whose presence highlighted the borough’s pride in its local individuals and its commitment to skills development.

The afternoon was filled with celebration, gratitude, and reflection, as guests came together to applaud the learners’ achievements and the wider network that made it possible. CEO Rob Colbourne extended his heartfelt thanks to everyone involved, reinforcing the importance of collaboration.

Harmony from Marcegaglia UK shared her appreciation: “I look forward to working with Performance Through People again for all aspects; whether it be the P2A’s, Bootcamps or Higher Level Skills programmes – they have been an absolute blessing to the company.”

The next P2A programme begins 17th November, PTP are recruiting for a local company for 8 Support Workers. Contact p2a@ptp-training.co.uk or 07734 814923 for more information.
