When one of Performance Through People’s tutors were asked if they had a learner they would like to share recognition for, Sarah Motion – one of our Early Years tutors – answered immediately.

“I definitely have one of these, and her name is Kacey.”

Kacey started her Early Years Level 3 qualification with Performance Through People in October 2025 and has already made a lasting impression.

Despite being diagnosed with dyslexia, Kacey has approached every aspect of her learning with determination and enthusiasm, and according to Sarah – this has never held her back.

“Kacey has been diagnosed with dyslexia; however, this has not affected her practice or work in any way shape or form. Kacey’s work is always submitted way before the deadline, and the standard in fantastic. All sessions she is well engaged, well-motivated, and willing to learn more.”

Alongside study, Kacey works full-time and also helps to run and support a cheerleading group, often not finishing her day until late into the night. Despite her busy schedule, she consistently produces high-quality work and remains fully engaged in her learning.

Sarah has also been impressed by the relationships Kacey has built in her setting.

“She has only known the children for a short amount of time, however it is clear to see the bond and connections she has with them.”

While Sarah sees the hard work and commitment behind Kacey’s success, Kacey admits she wasn’t always confident when she started her qualification:

“At the start of my course I was nervous but the staff have been so welcoming, supportive, and encouraging throughout. Whenever I have had any worries or questions they have always been there to help and guide me in the right way.”

The support she has received has helped her develop not only her knowledge and skills, but also her confidence.

“Being dyslexic I used to doubt myself a lot but this course has really helped me grow in confidence and believe in my abilities. I now feel much more positive and confident in myself.”

Kacey’s journey is a great reminder that success isn’t about having the easiest path. It is about showing up, putting in the effort and believing in yourself. From her commitment to her studies to the positive impact she is already having within her setting, Kacey is someone we are incredibly proud to support.

Well done, Kacey – we can’t want to see your journey as it progresses into further success!
