We are delighted to celebrate the fantastic achievement of Steve from Cynhenid Care in Shropshire, who has successfully completed his Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner qualification with a Distinction.

Steve’s journey is a powerful example of how dedication, resilience, and the right support can lead to outstanding success. When he first began the qualification, Steve did not see himself as naturally academic and felt understandably anxious about taking on the Level 4 programme. However, from the very start he showed an exceptional level of commitment.

Throughout the course, Steve attended every session, fully engaged with his learning, and consistently put theory into practice. Even when nerves set ahead of his End-Point Assessment (EPA), he approached the challenge with determination – listening carefully to feedback, embracing guidance, and pushing himself beyond his comfort zone.

Steve’s tutor, Karl Jones, reflected on his progress:

“While he did not initially see himself as naturally academic and felt anxious about undertaking the Level 4 qualification, he demonstrated exceptional commitment throughout. HE attended every session, engaged fully with the programme, and consistently applied what he learned. Although he was particularly nervous ahead of his End-Point Assessment, he took on board all guidance and support offered. His dedication and progress have been recognised with the achievement of a distinction.”

Following his success, Steve shared his appreciation with Karl, saying:

“You helped me achieve the result and that I wouldn’t have got it if you hadn’t adapted your teaching method. Thanks again.”

Steve’s achievement is a testament to his hard work and perseverance, as well as the impact of supportive, learner-focused teaching. We are incredibly proud of what he has accomplished and hope his story inspires others to believe in their own potential.

Congratulations, Steve – an outstanding achievement and very well deserved.
