A great opportunity has come up for the successful candidate to join our friendly team at Brij Dhody Dental Practice. As an apprentice dental nurse, you will assist the dentist and undergo full training to develop skills to enable you to progress.

 

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You'll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

 

What you'll do at work 

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

Duties to include:

• Assisting the dentist chairside


• Updating Client records


• Cleaning and decontamination of tools


• Surgery


• Reception duties


• General admin duties

Training

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

• Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship Standard


• Functional Skills maths and English (if required)


• This is a weekly day-release program where the apprentice attends one of PTP's centres to work towards their qualification in a classroom based environment

Desirable qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

• English (grade 4)


• Maths (grade 4)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other Requirements

Candidates will need to pass a DBS check to start the role, and will also be required to have relevant vaccinations such as Hep B and possibly Covid boosters.
