The work is very intricate and is carried out in a modern, pleasant working environment. The apprenticeship will lead you into assembling, bonding and soldering electronic and other components that come together to make a finished probe and other accessories such as cables and connectors.

What you'll do at work



  • Be quick to learn and keen to progress

  • Have a good manual dexterity

  • Be able to produce fine solder joints (electronic work)

  • Be able to glue/bond very small components together

  • Work to high standards, as attention to detail is crucial

  • Follow instructions both written and verbal

  • Computer literate

  • Work within a team or as an individual


From time to time, you may be required to perform other duties as requested by your Line Manager, and whilst not listed above, these duties will be appropriate to the level of responsibility held and to the scope of the role as defined.
