First Aid at Work

COURSE OBJECTIVES

• Provide delegates with training and instruction in First Aid
• Promote greater awareness of specific conditions/injuries and how to deal with them
• Outline the duties of a First Aider

• Calling the emergency services
• Prioritising multiple casualties
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
• The recovery position
• Wounds and bleeding
• Heart Attack
• Head Injuries
• Epilepsy
• Diabetes
• Stroke
• Imbalance of heat
• Shock
• Poisoning
• Broken bones and Soft Tissue Injuries
• Choking
• Burns and Scalds

Participants who successfully complete the course will be awarded a First Aid certificate which is recognised by the HSE and valid for 3 years.
