Introduction

This qualification will allow you to apply knowledge, understanding and skills to a level of competency recognised by employers. This will demonstrate your achievement and ability and will provide you with opportunities for progression.

For Whom

The Level 2 Diploma in Retail Skills is appropriate for sales advisors, customer service advisors, product experts or for individuals in similar roles.

What will I Learn?

How long will it take?

It will take a maximum of 12 months

What Support Will I Receive?

You will be appointed a Training Adviser whose role it is to guide you through your programme by providing one to one tuition and supporting you in your workplace. Regular review meetings will take place with you and your direct line manager so that we can ensure you are receiving the kind of development, motivation and well being that you need to have to help you achieve your nationally recognised qualification.

Next Steps

Once this qualification has been achieved there is the opportunity to progress on to other qualifications which can further develop your career/or skills, such as:-

Introduction

The aim of this qualification is to contribute to the skills, knowledge and overall performance of those with responsibility within a retail environment. It provides an insight into the principles and processes of Retail Skills and will aid career development.

This qualification has been designed for department, section and team leaders, specialist sales advisors, owners/managers. This qualification will allow candidates to apply knowledge, understanding and skills to a level recognised by employers, thus proving competency in their job role.

What will I Learn?

The specific content of your qualification will largely depend on your choice of optional units that compliment your job role. The following are some of the areas you may cover during your qualification within a retail environment:

  • Monitor and maintain health & safety
  • Work effectively in your retail organisation
  • Help to manage a retail team
  • Plan, monitor and adjust staffing levels and schedules
  • Promote continuous improvement in customer service
