Introduction
The aim of this qualification is to contribute to the skills, knowledge and overall performance of Management and Leadership. Its purpose is to provide insight into the principles and processes of Management and Leadership and to aid career progression.
For Whom
This QCF Certificate is designed for those who are entering a management role or who wish to gain a qualification that formally recognises their skills, those who manage a team and are responsible for its performance and middle managers who have a wider managerial role, which could include recruitment and budgetary responsibilities.
What will I Learn?
On this course you will learn how to organise and manage your time effectively, you will learn how to set objectives for team members and plan and allocate work. You will provide leadership and direction in your own area of responsibility, manage risk, develop, support and motivate your staff. All of these skills provide a platform from which individual and business success can be built.

Entry Requirements
There are no minimum levels of previous qualifications required. It may be necessary to undertake an assessment to identify your current levels in Maths, English and ICT.
What Support Will I Receive?
You will be appointed a Training Adviser whose role it is to guide you through your programme by providing one to one, tuition and supporting you in your workplace. Regular Review Meetings will take place with you and your direct line manager so that we can ensure you are receiving the kind of development, motivation and well being that you need to have to help you achieve your nationally recognised qualification.

The EDI Level 5 Diploma in Management offered by EDI has been developed from the National Occupational Standards produced by the Management Standards Centre (MSC), the National Standard Setting Body for Management and Leadership
What will I Learn?
This qualification is designed for those people who have moved in to a senior managerial role at an operational/strategic level and not only have responsibility for staff, but also a responsibility for the organisation. You will cover the development and evaluation of operational plans along with your leadership and direction within your area of responsibility. You will also identify how to work productively with colleagues and stakeholders in your strategic field.
