Introduction
This qualification has been carefully formulated to meet the varying learning and development needs of employers of all sizes and across all industries and sectors. In addition, the course is practically based to ensure learning is transferred directly to the work environment – to the immediate benefit of employers and individuals alike.
For Whom
This course has been designed for practising or aspiring team leaders, to provide a solid foundation in their formal development as a team leader.
What will I Learn?
This course provides knowledge of the various roles, functions and responsibilities of a team leader and the limits of their authority and accountability. The course will contain varying areas of leadership including:
- Developing yourself as a team leader
- Leading your work team
- Motivating the work team to perform
This course has been designed to equip team leaders with the skills and techniques required to develop and lead a motivated and productive team.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but individuals must be in a suitable job role to enable to completion of the course units.
How long will it take?
This course is run over 3 workshops, each of which are 8 hours each day (9-5), and is run on a bi weekly basis. Work will need to be completed outside of these workshops.
What Support Will I Receive?
Your leadership and management tutor will be available throughout the course to provide advice, guidance and support to each delegate. Such advice can be gained during the workshops or via email or by phone when assistance is required outside of the training centre.

This programme has been designed for managers that wish to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of effective management techniques. This is a programme that focuses on the development of managers to reach their full potential. It is designed to increase proficiency and efficiency within numerous management practices.
What will I Learn?
Within this programme you will learn motivation techniques and the ability for self-appraisal within the many functions of the business network. The course will contain varying areas of management including:
- Role of the Manager
- Key skills for leading & managing
- Problem solving & decision making
- Presentation skills
- Leadership
Your involvement in this programme can result in a consistent improvement of management skills and awareness, which transfers into higher productivity and business profitability.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements but participants will need to be practising or aspiring first line managers with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.
