Introduction

This particular course is designed to inform you how to effectively organise and manage yourself. The aim of this qualification is to contribute to the skills, knowledge and overall performance of Business and Administration. It provides an insight into the principles and processes of Business and Administration and will aid career development.

This qualification is designed for those people who:

  • Are involved in Business and Administration as their primary work activity
  • Are seeking a career in Business and Administration and wish to take the first steps towards professional qualifications

What will I Learn?

On this course you will learn how to organise and manage yourself, work in a variety of business situations, interact with people at all levels and produce professional business documents. You will also learn about how a business operates and how an office runs, including customer service, reception, communication technology and rights and responsibilities at work.

This qualification covers a wide range of functions within the Business administration role which can include; Receptionist duties which will enhance your Customer Service Skills, collating financial information, receiving and sending the daily post, faxing confidential documents, typing up minutes of meetings and any policy documents and photocopying services as and when required.

There are no minimum levels of previous qualifications required. 

What Support Will I Receive?

You will be appointed a Training Adviser whose role it is to guide you through your programme by providing one to one, tuition and supporting you in your workplace. Regular Review Meetings will take place with you and your direct line manager so that we can ensure you are receiving the kind of development, motivation and well being that you need to have to help you achieve your nationally recognised qualification.

Next Steps

Once this qualification has been achieved there is the opportunity to progress on to other qualifications which can further develop your career/or skills, such as:-

The aim of this qualification is to contribute to the skills, knowledge and overall performance of Business and Administration. It provides an insight into more advanced principles and processes of Business and Administration and will aid career development.

On this course you will learn how to organise and manage yourself, work in a variety of business situations, interact with people at all levels and produce professional business documents. The qualification covers the responsibility of Supervision, and the leading of teams to meet the business goals laid down within the administration sector

This qualification covers a wide range of functions within the Business administration role which can include; Time Management , Communication, Questioning and Motivational skills . You will also learn about how to supervise and manage people working in those fields giving both technical and moral support.

Entry Requirements

There are no minimum levels of previous qualifications required. Prior achievement of the NVQ Certificate in Business Administration would be an advantage, as you will be familiar with the process and substance of the qualification delivery.

How long will it take?

It will take a maximum of 18 months
