How does it work?
Learners have the opportunity to further their experience by going into the workplace for 1 day per week. Learners attend placement for 3 days per month to experience real work in a real work environment. For one day per month learners will attend one of our training centres to continue with underpinning skills and knowledge required to complete their programme of learning. The programme may cover one or two academic years by the end of which learners will have gained skills and experience that will provide a firm foundation for future employment success.
What qualifications will they be able to gain?

The level of qualification is determined by the job role available to learners on work placement, their work load at school or their own preference. All qualifications carry equivalent GCSE points as well as having industrial recognition.
Learners complete initial assessments to determine their Maths and English ability. Learners are selected on their enthusiasm for the programme of learning and desire and ability to work in a real business environment.
As a work placement employer you have the opportunity to interview and select learners suitable for your business and the work experience on offer.
There is no cost for you to offer a young person the opportunity to develop skills and gain experience in a working environment. We do however realise and appreciate the investment you are making to these young people and their life skills.
