LEARNER HANDBOOK
During your induction you will have been given a copy of the Learner Handbook which provides you with a wealth of information, including how to contact us, understanding your learning journey, looking after your welfare and general rules and requirements. We hope that you will find the handbook a useful resource as you progress on your learning journey with us.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Your health and safety is very important to us and if you are on a government-funded programme, we will have provided you with a Be Safe Booklet which has been designed to provide you with an introduction to health, safety and welfare in the workplace. Everyone has a right to work in a place where risks to your health and safety are properly controlled and your welfare protected. The booklet will help you to understand what should happen your workplace while you are learning and a copy will have been given to you during your induction.

INITIAL ASSESSMENT & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Functional Skills are essential skills needed for English, Maths and ICT, vital for young people and adults to participate in life, learning and work. Completing an initial assessment identifies any skills gaps enabling us to address these through targetted training and ultimately successful completion of your learning programme. We use an on-line assessment tool called SkillsBuilder which can be accessed via the link at the top of the page.
