Intermediate Apprenticeship in Customer Service
Introduction
This particular qualification is designed to inform you how to effectively undertake the customer service role in all its different facets. The aim of this qualification is to provide the skills and knowledge which will contribute to excellent customer service. This qualification will provide an insight into the principles of customer service and its successful completion will aid career development.
For Whom
This qualification is aimed at individuals who are starting a career in a customer facing role. It is suitable for all age groups: for those thinking of entering employment for the first time; for those who have just started a job, for those who are changing their career path and for those who want recognition of their skills and experience. This qualification gives the foundation to future progression in a range of different roles, which involve customer contact.
How is the apprenticeship structured?
To successfully achieve this Apprenticeship the following components must be completed:
- Occupation based qualification in Customer Service Level 2
- Transferrable Skills in Math & English (if applicable)
- Knowledge based qualification in Customer Service (including a workbook)
- Personal Learning & Thinking Skills
- Employer Rights and Responsibilities (if applicable)
These components create the framework for the Apprenticeship, for each component you will receive continual support from your training adviser.
What will I learn?
This qualification includes details as to customer service best practice and how to provide a consistent quality driven service. During this qualification you will learn about the implementation of these rules which requires the ownership of a good image and ability to create a good first impression to all your customers both internal and external. You will develop skills in effective delivery, the handling of problems, and the creation and improvement of customer relationships. You will also learn how good customer service is an essential part of meeting business objectives and how effective communication plays an important role in achieving an excellent service.

How long will it take?
It will take a maximum of 12 months
What Support Will I Receive?
You will be appointed a Training Adviser whose role it is to guide you through your programme by providing one to one tuition and supporting you in your workplace. Regular review meetings will take place with you and your direct line manager so that we can ensure you are receiving the kind of development, motivation and well being that you need to have to help you achieve your nationally recognised qualification.

Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service

On this course you will learn about the implementation of these rules which require you to provide a quality service to customers both internal and external. The development of your problem solving, customer relationships and effective communication will provide you with the skills required to provide excellent customer service. You will also learn how good customer service is an essential part of the business operation, and how communication technology and rights and responsibilities at work play an important role. It also develops your leadership and time management skills for supervisory duties, and requires you to empower, motivate and develop the colleagues for whom you have a responsibility.
