Kate Perrior – Cupcake Village
Katie Perrior has always been interested in Hospitality and Catering and the satisfaction that is gained when a customer's eyes light up at the sight and taste of the dishes produced.
It was this interest that led her to start her journey to success at the County Hotel in Walsall when she was 17 years old. Whilst in this role Katie decided she wanted to start earning her stripes within the business and as such enquired about completing a qualification in Hospitality & Catering. After discussing her options with training provider, Performance Through People (PTP), she decided on an Apprenticeship in Food Production and Cooking.
To ensure each learner gets the most out of their learning experience PTP assign a Personal Training Adviser for each learner that has experience and knowledge within the relevant occupational area. Katie's training adviser has supported hundreds of individuals to successful careers in the Hospitality Industry and continued to do so with Katie.
After having completed her Apprenticeship and moving to work at The Boat in Lichfield, Katie decided she wanted to increase her knowledge and further improve her skills in a range of areas. With this in mind, she
again contacted PTP to support her in the completion of the Hospitality Supervision Advanced Apprenticeship. The result was never in question and on successful completion Katie never looked back. She went on to open her own business, cupcake village which initially traded online only at www.cupcakevillage.co.uk but due to
her 10 years experience in the industry and through her commitment the site became that popular she is now opening her own store in Chase Town, Cannock.
Katie feels the support provided by PTP and in particular her adviser was key to her success; "My training adviser was inspirational and supported me around the clock to ensure I was successful. He is a wonderful
representative of PTP and as such I have referred two of my colleagues to PTP as I believe in them and their provision of apprenticeships. When I hear anyone needing training the first thing I think about is PTP"
